If you take it back to baby factory someone there should help you install it, they helped us with ours. That does look way reclined, but I dunno maybe thats how its supposed to be. Also isnt the part of the seatbelt that goes over your chest supposed to go through that bit at the top of the back of the carseat? Maybe im just not looking at it right lol

Ohh I see what you mean (I think?), god I hope not because then I've had it way wrong installed for 2 years lol. Nah I don't think so because I can't see how that would be possible.

You see where the two stickers meet... That space there is where the seatbelt threads through.

And the teather is supposed to bolt at the back of the actual seat of the car not the front near the floor. At the head rest so it goes up and over the actual car seat.

Its a jolly jumper convertable seat, we got it from farmers but the people at baby factory helped us install it because we brought a whole lot of other smurf from there lol. I cant find a pic on google though. Also plunket can help you install it too.

The seatbelt is in the right place because that's the only place it can go, and the green sticker is for rf and the blue for ff. it had arrows pointing to the slits to show where the seatbelt threads through.
I don't know about the tether but I'm pretty sure I read in the manual DO NOT ( in big letters lol) tether rf. wish I could find it now!! Ill try and download on online. My car had a bolt behind the headrest if I need to use it. I know definitely my evenflo carseat you don't tether rf.
Man carseats are stressful lol

in US they can not be latched and seat belted its one or the other, also if the kid and seat weigh more then 60 lbs together as of next year u can not use latches.

With that seat they came out last year and said that it HAS to be 45 degress reclined for rear facing so really far back so the picture with the kid more upright is old.

My car doesn't have latches so just use the seatbelt. She's just over 20lbs at the moment but ill remember that for the future thanks!

In NZ it's a *must not* thing
Seats meeting American Standard FMVS 213(will also display the yellow NZ "S" mark), do not use the top tether when rear facing, with the exception of the Radian XTSL and Diono RXT, which allow Swedish tethering towards the front of the vehicle using a "D" loop. This differs from the tethering system found on the Brio Zento (UK Standard) sold in New Zealand.

And the only seat sold in nz that tethers to the floor is the radian and one other seat (a brio I think?)

There's 3 different standards, Australian, UK, and American. They're all slightly different and have different requirements. Confusing ay lol. They can all be used in nz
