HELP!! take him to the ER?

posted 7th Feb
Neither of my kids have EVER vomited like this...my 18 month old was fussing in his sleep so I went in there and he was laying in a pool of vomit that literally went down to the foot of his toddler bed, and when I picked him up he shot more across the room and all over me. I am washing everything on his bed right now and he passed back out before I could bathe him. What do I do?!?! It seems like SO much to come out of his tiny body...he didn't eat any dinner either. Which is NOT normal for him, he usually eats more than my two year old.

Wake him up to bathe him. Check his temperature before hand. Does he have any other symptoms? Are you able to tell what it is he threw up?

As long as he is taking in fluids and not acting lethargic or has a temp over 104 no ER.
But I would wake him back up the bathe him. Don't let him sleep in that smurf.

Try and get fluid in him...of he can't keep anything down you might want to take him in. Had to do this with my daughter. They indeed up giving her zofran and let us go once she held down fluids.

If you feel something is seriously wrong with him.. take him in. Everytime my daughter is sick.. we take her in or when we feel something isnt right.. and we havent been wrong yet. So her dr always squeezes her in. Especially with it being flu season and such. They cant tell u at that age if something is wrong so trust your gut instint.

right! OP kids puke its a sad fact of parenting and unless any of the above are present there is no reason to take them in.

If you are super concerned then bring him in to get some peace of mind.

If you feel something is wrong take him in to get check. It won't hurt and it's better to be safe. I hope he's okay and feels better soon

Maybe some food poisoning. No temp? That's weird. I would just say virus but no temp is weird. Does he have diarrhea? Kids projectile vomit, it happens. Poor baby
