How do you do it?

How do you stay on track and have the right mindset when trying to lose weight? I think I have a food issue. I will eat when I'm bored,but its very hard to stop myself. I have a little pack of oreos sitting next to me, but I havent touched it and its really hard not to. Lol. Everytime I try to lose weight, I always ruin it by eating crap and I always feel like smurf after. I need motivation and a weight loss buddy!

I know how you feel. I was more motivated to eat healthy and lose weight before I moved in with my mother but that is because she always has some form of junk food around the house.

I don't buy it, and if I do (for lo & Dh) I definitely don't keep it near me.
If I notice that I'm eating out of boredom, I chug some water or get up and clean something. There is ALWAYS something to dust.

If you don't buy it, you can't eat it.
That is pretty much the only way I can stop my boredom eating.

I live with my parents right now and my dad works for Nabisco/Kraft foods so he's always bringing home free cookies and crackers. Ugh

I am the same way! And its so hard to avoid temptation because DH says he will support me but refuses to stop buying pastries and junk, so its hard to resist when its in my face every time i open the pantry. He doesnt understand how difficult it is to have it in my face and not touch it!! I truely think if he REALLU got on board with me that i could succeed. But i just dont see him doing it.

Oh yeah, that's lame lol
DH is a late night snacker so he always buys crap. I just try to get him to buy stuff I don't like. It doesn't affect his weight like it does mine lol

I've been trying to drink more water but I still always have food on my mind
Lol. Does the weight watchers program help with that?

I've never used weight watchers.
I've always used myfitnesspal.com and that gives you x amount of calories/carbs per day.
I have breakfast, snack, lunch, snack and then dinner and I'm DONE for the night. Once the kitchen is cleaned from dinner I don't go in there unless its for water.
I've also completely cut out soda, and have one glass of tea with dinner.
I also follow this diet right now while I'm pregnant, because I'm not missing out on any foods or meals, and I'm eating way better than I was before.
My grandma and I have been doing this for almost a month, and I've gained 1lb and she's lost 15.

I have used my fitness pal before and I did great for about a month, but I constantly felt hungry and then I like binged on food and completely ruined it. I just had my daughter 2 months ago and this is the biggest I have ever been and I feel so gross. I had a c section and my doctor told me I can only walk to work out for now. I want to do like insanity but can't :/

Its so hard to have that self control! I can't wait until I move out. Then I won't have junk food around me

Start out walking and work on your breathing techniques, because you will definitely need it for insanity.
I did insanity for one day and quit lol. Then I tried p90x and stuck with it until I found out I was pregnant again.

I can't go for walks right now because it is way too cold out for my little one. That's why I'm so frustrated lol

Ooooooo!! I love food. Usually I see something and I end up eating it. This is why I hate food commercials. I hate seeing food. I hate it because I'm going to crave for it and I have to eat it or ill be a big fussy crazy woman. I usually try to stop eating by just doing stuff. Computer, play with DS, clean, sleep.

What really helps me stay away from the bad food is exercising. I exercise as soon as I wake up in the morning and I don't want my exercise to go to a total waste from eating bad food so its easier to stay away from it. Also its probably not a good idea to have junk food sitting right next to you. That's like torture lol
