sleeping issues

My 5 month old barely ever sleeps anymore. At night he wakes up basically every hour and during the day he takes maybe 1 hour nap and thats it. I really thought babys needed alot more sleep than that. is there anyway i can get him to sleep more?

does he wake up because he's hungry? if so, try and feed him for a longer period of time. my son sleeps for a bout 2 hrs during the day, and at night. baby's grow while they're sleeping so it's important that they get enough sleep. maybe make a dr apnt.

i feed him cereal during the day and formula constantly and at night he usually drinks between 6-8 ounces before bed so he should be full. he was sleeping through the night until 4 weeks ago
