help me fix my vacuum :(

I was trying to get some crumbs in my living room and accidently vacuumed a baby sock. It just got rolled into the brush and I got it out pretty easy...but now the brush won't move so I can't vacuum   What do I do?

Clothes hanger, a metal kind. Works like a charm

How can I tell? All I can see when I turn the vacuum over is just the brush, no damage, it just doesn't move anymore   I had this happen when I worked housekeeping at a hotel but I don't remember what my boss did to fix it
