Call your OB 1st thing in the morning!! Please! PPD can develope any time in the 1st year after delivery. I felt the same way you do. and I was ashamed to tell my doctor and be medicated. But it was the best thing I ever did. For me, my DH, my kids, all of us. Sometimes things happen and we need a little help. Its not forever. And things will get better. You just need a little extra to get you back to yourself.

Thanks so much. How will the medication effect me and my weight? Does it really help? I thought maybe my saddness would just go away on its on, but i just don't see my outlook getting better. So I just call my midwife, where I went for my checkups?

the meds are not an overnight fix. It will take time to get thru your system. But little by little you will just start to feel like your old self again. I have had more trouble losing weight this time around, but it could be the meds or the ppd. And it is winter in Illinois  . Yes, just call your midwife and explain your symptoms.
