Rash Question

DS has had a rash on his cheeks for about a month, maybe a little longer. He got it right before getting sick with a stomach bug, and an upper resp. infection, and this just hasn't gone away. I took his to the doctor and he said it was probably from being sick, but it could be an allergy, but he didn't think it was. Now three weeks after going to the dr it is still there just as bad, and he is no longer sick. I have cut out all citrus and it is still there. No tomatoes, still there. I am just wondering if you ladies agree it may possibly be an allergy, and maybe ideas of what other foods to cut out.

To me it looks more like super dry skin. I would try putting a creamy unscented lotion on it multiple times a day and see if that helps. I use eucerin on my kids.

It looks like just what the doctor told you. My LO had something like that when he was sick. It didn't go away for awhile either.
ETA: My LO's rash was on his chest,It looked like that,but worse.
Have you been putting anything on it?

Wouldn't it have gone away by now though? That was 3 weeks ago.

Did they give you antibiotics? My son had like a bacterial rash (from a sickness) they called it.

no. He just said once his illness went away so would the rash. It was a virus so no meds

I would take him back in,because it does need to treated if it has been there that long.   It could be viral rash that is under the skin.

I was hoping it was an allergy, that was an easy fix. I hate taking him to the doctor. I always come out feeling stupid about something. I took him in the last time because he had the runs for 2 weeks, and he basically told me to deal with it. He is a great doctor, but he lacks bedside manner.

No it is bumpy. almost looks like pimples all over his cheeks
