taking them for the first time in over a month

my kids father is coming and picking them up for the weekend im a little weary cause he hasnt seen them in over a month. i know he has the right to see them and all and i could really use the break im just hoping he can handle my 5 month old by himself. the last time he had them both was when my lo was sleeping through the night. he wakes up about every hour now and barely takes naps during the day, my toddler also wakes up usually about once a night now and than is up for the day at 7am. I am just really nervous and of course this has been the first time away from them in a long time.

I'm sorry. It's always hard letting the kids go to visit dad. If you have a good relationship with your x you can let him know that if the baby freaks out you will be happy to pick him up and bring him back in the morning. This is what I did with XH and he took me up on it a few times when my daughter got overly upset. Best of luck with everything. Try to enjoy your down time.

we live about an hour and a half away from each other and were not really on good terms but i would drive anywhere if my kids needed me. im just not really wanting them to go but i know they need to spend time with their dad to

I totally understand. I've been divorced for about 2 years and it's still hard. I just try to keep busy, and enjoy getting solid sleep lol.

yea thats true i will finanlly be able to clean my house completely as well
