5 point harness

posted 7th Feb
How long did you keep your preschooler in a 5 point harness and when did you move them to a booster seat? My daughters are 36 pounds and will be 4 next month and I am getting a lot of push back about keeping them in a 5 point harness.

See that is what I mean, if they haven't outgrown it, why should I switch?

Ryan just turned 7 and in the first grade and still in a 5 point 95% of the time
(he has a high back booster in the extra car that my husband drives to work)
He has no complaints about it.

I think there's always someone who's going to give you crap for your decisions if it isn't the same as theirs. I hear stuff every so often about the twins still being RFing now that their one, but they haven't even hit 20lbs yet either.. which I'd prefer to keep them RFing as long as I can lol

I don't think anything you do to make your child safest in a car is over protective.

My son will probably still be rf when he's that size.
