re: Telling DH and our parents I'm pregnant again.

Ok, so after getting snippy with him for accusing me of cheating and trying to explain the basics of how babies are made...he texted back saying "well...we hadn't had sex in a while so how could i not go to you and someone else... but if what you're saying is true then WE'RE HAVING A BABY! But smurf this is going to be hard.... damn"

So now he seems a little excited... I sure hope I didn't misinterpret that text lol

Maybe that was just his initial reaction? though that is highly inappropriate to just acuse you of cheating. being shocked is no excuse to be an ass.

Yeah, it's a huge relief though. He's also worried about being broke every October lol. My birthday is the 8th, DS is the 13th, and this baby is due the 15th. I will never have a birthday to myself again lol

I know, but I can't help but give him the benefit of the doubt. He's not as knowledgeable with ovulating and menstrual cycles and what not. I'm just relieved he's not pissed and trying to leave. Or asking for a paternity test.

I told him we can celebrate my birthday a month early from now on

Agreed!! And it's always best to tell them in person. I told my hubby about our number two over the phone and he later told me that he wished I waited to tell him when we were together, but I was too excited to wait. It's also easier to see their real feelings in person rather than trying to interpret it over the phone. It took both of you to make this uh oh baby, so if he's upset he can't be for long because u both screwed up in the birth control department.

So happy it's looking like it could be ok! I'm pregnant with my second, due in a couple weeks actually. We just bought a new home and have a new car ( which we thought would be great... till we realized that my son is taking after his daddy and is going to be tall... now neither of the kids will be able to sit behind DH ha! but small things). My son is 2 and a half... he doesn't understand what's really happening, I've tried explaining to him what's in mommy's big belly... but now he just thinks bellies are called babies lol I know he can feel there's change coming because he's a lot more clingy than he use to be, wants to cuddle all the time and everything. I know he'll be a good big brother but I know it's going to be a shock for him for a little bit. This baby was planned and my family STILL said I was stupid lol they love me and are excited for us but they worry, DH and I are only 22 (He turns 23 next Weds (13th)). As for birthdays, that time of year suuuuucks for me too lol Oct both my neice and nephew's birthday is the 3rd (his parents are magicians to have had those two 3 years apart on the same day lol) my older sister's birthday is the 6th, Nov my mom's is the 5th then December hits and ugh! My little sister's is the 4th, brother in laws is the 15th, mine is the 21st then Christmas then my mom's boyfriend's birthday is the 30th.... then Sister in law is the 3rd of Jan... the end of the year really stinks and I haven't had a birthday in a very long time. Growing up me and my sister got our birthdays' celebrated on the same day, I hardly got presents because it was so close to Christmas but I'm ok with that. Now I have my kids' birthdays to plan.... and personally I think kid parties are way more fun than the parties that I'd get lol!! Congrats and I really wish you the best and both of you will be very happy  

So DH has calmed down lol he is now getting excited but still nervous. Pretty much right after I told him, he told everyone in the family lol. His mom's first reaction was "yay!" My mom and I talked about stuff like how I was going to do school, how we need a new car, and how she's friends on FB with someone that is a doula and may know some midwives for me that would do home births. My dad seemed a tad shocked and disappointed at first and that conversation didn't last long, then he called like 10 mins later and said he was happy for us and that he'd be here to help support us if we needed it. Overall everything turned out great   I still don't feel like this is real though...haven't quite wrapped my mind around it yet. Thank you ladies for helping me out!!

I'm glad everything smoothed out quickly for you! I guess it was a good thing you told him via phone so he had time to cool his jets and think before he did something even more stupid. lol I hope you have a smooth pregnancy =) Congrats again
