Did you know that Cloth diapers don't have to look like that ones on the RIGHT? You can get cloth diapers like the one on the LEFT that have snaps or velcro just like a DISPOSABLE diaper. You can also get them in prints of your favorite music bands the like beatles or cartoons like batman or or Dr. Seuss or Rainbow Brite.

Did you know you can get girl diapers with cute little ruffles on the butt? Like this one.

Did you know that on the back of every disposable diaper box the instructions tell you that you are supposed to rinse or shake out the poop from your disposable diaper into a toilet before you dispose of them in the trash? Are you using disposable diapers they way they are supposed to be used?

http://www.knickernappiesblog.com/2011/04/are-disposables-really-that-convenient.html

Did you know Over 300 pounds of wood, 50 pounds of petroleum feedstocks and 20 pounds of chlorine are used to produce disposable diapers for one baby EACH YEAR.
Just one really BIG reason to consider cloth diapering your child.

Personally I don't cloth diaper for finances or for environmental reasons, I was intimidated by it before I tried it, now I just want to promote the smurf out of it (no pun intended   ) It is so much more fun then using disposables.

Since I started cloth diapering (my second never did my first) I have never had a diaper rash on DD and I have never had one of those poops that squirt up the back and down the legs even though we have had diarrhea the cloth diapers just hold it so much better.

Hope you enjoyed my post!

if you really want to know how the difference feels try using a regular disposable pad next time you have your period or try it without your period for an hour and then switch to a cloth pad and tell me how uncomfortable that really is on your lady parts compared to the disposable, both are made with same materials a disposable diaper is made of and a cloth diaper is made of...then youll know how it feels on your kids genitals....Trust me...cloth is way more comfortable...or don't trust me and actually try the experiment.

Oh no, I'm sure it is. But it's the bulkiness that would kill me. Like the one in the upper corner looks like someone strapped a mattress to him.

I wasn't talking about softness, it would be like the difference between me putting a pad in my undies or a... towel

I have a frilly diaper, not that one specifically but I do own one frilly one and I used it to take her pictures in then it just got thrown into regular diaper rotation, I think its cute when we wind up throwing her in it but I don't use it if were going out and I'm throwing pants on her cause the ruffles just get in the way of the pants

It depends on the diaper, pockets can be bulky depending on how many inserts you stuff into them for absorbancy, the one up there is a pocket, prefolds the one with the hook in the picture are normally no bulky. Fitteds which are shaped like disposables but have no waterproofing in them so they need covers can be really trim and slim depending on who makes them, the material they are made with and how they are made. I like the bulky ones cause I get mine made with fleece outers and hidden windpro fleece for absorbancy and that makes them bulkier but I know the chick who makes mine also offers them "serged" which is sewn a different way and they come out really trim.

It really depends on hwo you like them and who you get them from. There are diapers of different styles, makes and sizes for moms and babies that have different preferences and needs

I own both of those, the bigger bulky one is made by a different person and with different materials. When you cloth diaper you just need to find a brand of diaper that works for you and your baby. I love the bulk. But during the day I put her in trimmer ones like the pink one in this picture.

I love my cloth diapers. DD was a heavy peer and it helped tremendously. I can't wait to do it with this baby.
