Got married at 21, am getting divorced now, at 24.

Got married when I was 18,he was 21.
We've been married for 3 years and we don't regret anything

We got married when we were 18 and 19. We have been married going on 6 years, together longer than that. I've never regretted it. My DH isn't a controlling person, though, as it seems yours is.

Married at 21. Divorced at 22. A big part was his jealosy. I never (and didnt want to ) cheat but he always accused me.

I got married at 19 and am still married at almost 24.


I'd say if you're feeling stuck, you probably aren't ready for marriage. Either that or your DH sounds controlling and you married the wrong man.

I Just turned 23 when we got married, he was 25 almost 26. (together since I was 19 he was 22)
He is now 30 nd I am now 28 and we are due with baby #3 in June, and still very happily married!  

Regardless of age, your husband just seems controlling. I've been married for almost 5 years and we both still have social lives.

He doesn't really think that he is but I'm trying to get him to see it, and if I KNOW I'm not doing anything wrong I've started just doing it anyway (like texting my friend) but I hate that he makes me feel like I am doing something wrong, even when I'm not. Also, I'm worried that me pushing back will make him want to leave me, because like I said, I really do love him.

Yep.

I've been married for 8 years (I was 18 and he was 19) and I go out alone or with friends whenever I want.

Thankfully, he doesn't accuse me of anything but I hate when he says 'I trust you, I just don't trust him'.   He says he doesn't trust my friends because he doesn't know my friends, but when I try to get him to meet them, he says he doesn't want to meet them  

No not everyone goes through that. My husband and I didn't get married until I was 23 but we started dating right after I turned 19 and had our son a year later. He would try to tell me who i can and can't be friends with or what I can and can't do, he isn't my father, he's my partner. And I would never treat him that way either. We respect each other as adults and trying to control one another is NOT respect.

I would not have married a man who thought he had any say over who I could associate with, and i abso-smurfing-lutely wouldnt reproduce with him. All your relationship is teaching your children is that men should control women.

No, it wasn't like this when we were just dating. I had so many friends and hung out with them all the time   Majority of them are gay men so we always went to the gay clubs and it was so much fun but now I don't talk to any of them anymore because DH didn't like them. It happened slowly but one day I woke up and realized, smurf I don't have any friends anymore  

My husband was 24 and I was 19 when we got married and going on 3 years we are still going strong! It doesn't matter the age you got married, it matters if you both are truly ready or not. You can get married when your 50+ and the marriage can still end. People now are getting married for all the wrong reasons and its sad. If you feel unhappy in your marriage and nothing seems to help, then gtfo of it and find someone that will make you happy.

I was married at 20, I don't regret my marriage or my children but I wish I waited until I was my age now to get married and then have kids. But my husband is awesome (most of the time) and I can't complain. I picked a good hardworking respectable man.
