I'm the same way. I love to dance and I just have a flirty personality. SO isn't a very social person, but he doesn't care if I go out with friends. I'm coming home to him. That's what matters.

Yeah he never wants to do anything. It's nice to hear from others that this isn't normal though. It makes me feel about that I'm just going to do it and stop asking and basically deal with the outcome. I'm still going to try talking to him and see how controlling he really is. Some men don't see it that way.   The last controlling guy I was with, he made it seem like he was LESS controlling because he wasn't up in my business of who I was talking to or hanging out with. But if I ever asked him about a discrepancy in something he said or asked who a phone number was in a group text that he sent, WATCH OUT. It was WW3. I couldn't handle it anymore and I had to end things. For the sake of my children. I didn't want them around that explosive personality.

Well I accepted a friend request from an old friend (gay guy that I use to go to the club with) and DH flipped so I told him I'm done asking, I'm an adult and shouldn't have to ask and we are treading on a line of being a very dangerous relationship, and I need to find myself again. That I need to make myself happy in order to be happy with him. Annnnd now he's mad at me and being short and doesn't want to talk to me..thankfully he's going into work today

Hopefully it gets better but right now it's lots of texts that he loves me and that he will kill himself if I ever leave him   gee thanks honey way to put that thought in my head   ugh men suck!

I think It would Be a good idea for you two to sit down and seriously talk about your expectations for the future. Do you want to spend the rest of your life asking permission or having to apologize for yourself all the time?? Do you want the pressure of knowing that he will throw suicide in your face every time there is a disagreement?? Probably not. These are serious issues and I think you need to have a serious talk, or more than one, about these things.
And until you guys get it figured out and are on a better more healthy track, i would absolutely stop TTC.

Got together at 18. had 5 kids and finally. got married at 26 and still together. and i trust him way more than he trusts me but its gotten much better than it was at the start.
