Where I was last year...

Its hard to forget what was happening in my life last year, at this time. Seeing two faint lines and not seeing them get darker, eventually get lighter and disappear all together. I'll never forget the look on the nurses face when I went for a blood test and she told me it was negative. She was satisfied to tell me that. No doubt she thought I was a young girl hoping I wasn't pregnant. No way she could have known I was a married mother of one who desperately wanted this baby. And now, with our little girl (never thought that would happen!!!) kicking like crazy inside me, I have to remind myself when I get frustrated. When my clothes don't fit. When I get heartburn (every day!). This doesn't have to happen. I don't have to be pregnant. I didn't earn this. I don't deserve this little girl. I have to remember that this can all go away so quickly. To be grateful. I am. I really am. For this healing baby. Adalia Eileen.

It really is   Such a special time, even if you have every symptom and pain imaginable. I may complain but those that know me, know I wouldn't change a thing

Thanks girl. I believe we are now over the worst of it and are focusing on what's ahead. I'll be having surgery in April to prevent that kind of loss from ever happening again.

It's a transabdominal cerclage. They will go in through my abdomen (like a c-section) and place a band at the very top of my cervix. Can't wait to have that done so we can try again!
