lol my dd didnt start snacking alittle bit until 9 months and now at almost 14 she is getting more solids. she has been in the 85% on weight since she was a month old. if i had continued just breastfeeding she still would have been plenty chubby without solids. you are a moron.

at 10 months i did half formula half milk and slowly weened the formula to nothing... for food since you haven't fed anything other than formula i would start out small... don't do too many flavors in one day/week because if she has a reaction you won't know what it was from.....

My son had 4 teeth by 6 months so i started out feeding mashed potatoes (skipped baby food because he hated it and preferred to eat my food) at 8 months he had three more teeth..so he was able to eat alot more..

you could always try the baby bullet and put your meals in there to blend up & see if your baby likes it.. its good for makin different textured foods as well..

good foods i started out with was:
mashed potatoes, french style green beans, corn, gerber puffs/crunchies, macaroni and cheese, and sort of squishy noodle.. eggs, bisquits and gravy (small pieces)

I didnt read all your posts, but I am in Canada and Canada and we use the same food guidelines as Australia and I agree with the first few posts I read that you made. lol

My dd started whole milk 9 months, weaned herself off of formula completely at 11 months, she is 1 yr and 4 days old and gets 21/2 to 3 cups of whole milk a day, as recommeneded for her age.
And she has only eaten table foods since 6 months old, 3 meals and 3 snacks a day.

I gave my kids a sippy cup and milk and there frist birthday. Neither one had much issue. I would try the same ( use the sippy cups with the soft tops)

yep my son is on about 3 meals and a few snacks a day too. well some people seem to think the american guidlines apply to the whole world but i know that here they expect your child to have started having complimentary foods by 8-9 months latest because theres been a massive rise in food allergys in small children and they believe its from introducing certain foods too late but idk.

how was she on whole milk at 9 months? DS will be 10 months on the 24th i was thinking about letting him try a bottle of it soon. but then again it was hard enough getting him from boob to bottle lol.

I started with 4oz a day at 9months then by 10 months she got about 12oz of whole milk a day on top of her 40oz of formula them she completely stopped formula at 11 months. Lol

Ya Canada believe s delaying caused the rise in allergies too. We actually go by Australian guidelines here. That where we get out studies from as well other parenting stuff like the triple p programs etc....lol

i might try letting him have a little whole milk when he hits 10 months on the 24th!

my son is 15 months old and pretty much exclusively on formula.. hes not underweight at all, hes actually my chubbiest baby lol.

i dont really get what was all trying to be proven in the past page and a half...

but id make sure she was eating enough FOOD before you switch her off formula, as milk doesnt have the vitamins minerals of course that formula has

he is still on regular formula because the toddler type gave him GI upset

The one was trying to prove a point because the other made a false statement. She said they WILL be underweight and malnourished instead of CAN be.

And apparently in Canada and Australia start cows milk at 9 months
