I was lucky, my DD was fully toilet trained just before age 2.
Including nights, she had no accidents at all.

I bought my daughter's potty at 18 months. She used it the first day #1, and #2... After that showed no interest. So i put it away for a while. I got it back out just before Christmas and was potty trained within a week. She did it all herself, all i had to do was buy her pretty underwear lol. She is now 2 1/2 and fully potty trained.

Lol I'm going to the store tomorrow to get her underwear. I wasn't expecting her to potty train for another couple months, at least, but I guess she has other plans.

Aw I'm sorry. That's a lot of changes though, so I can understand why. Hopefully she'll decide soon that she likes being dry better lol.

Mine is 3 and is in the process of training. I let her go at her own pace we had a major regression but she got back on track. She is still working on no accidents when we are at playgroups its hit or miss. She will 1-2 weeks with no accidents at home then have a day like today where she has two.

Lol nice! I have a few friends who post on FB how frustrated they are that their kid had an accident, or won't go potty, etc. And they say, "Any advice on what to do?" And I so badly want to say, "Maybe they just aren't ready yet..." But I don't. I just don't see the point in trying to make them. I honestly believe letting them decide they are ready is the best. I know I hate being pressured to do something I'm not so sure about.

My bio sister does this and it pisses me off he daughter is almost 3.5 now and I think she is scared of the potty because of the emotional trauma of being forced to go. She always tries to compare her to my daughter who started following me to the potty and sitting on her own potty at 9 months. I try to tell her that Livie will go when she is ready but she keeps pushing so hard

That sounds normal to me though. I've worked in child care the past 5 years, and that's usually how it went. Kids would go a while with no accidents, and then they would have a rough day or two. I'm just making sure that when we start taking her out in public with no diapers I have plenty of wipes and extra clothes on hand haha.

Yea she started going on her own back in June and went 3 or 4 months with no accidents. Then full on regression back into diapers. After the new year we tried again. Her accidents today were because she wont let me help her and she just couldnt get on the potty in time. I carry a tote bag with like 3 changes of clothes for both kids then I carry 1-2 pairs with me depending on where we are going.

Exactly! I know someone who screams at their kid if they go in and play with the toilet, and I'm just thinking, "Um he's 2.5 years old, he's showing interest in potty training, maybe instead of screaming at him to get away from it you should encourage him to use it!"
