That's exactly what I think. I mean... august to now?! It's 6 months later...
& Obviously it's about money & the fact that they want MORE, otherwise who wouldn't accept free disney passes?!

I think a lot of people jump to the 'racist' conclusion. The kid said he was pulling on the rabbits hand. Sounds like he was probably being pushy. And the kid said he felt angry and a little sad? Sounds coached to me.

Lmao no. 1 day pass is 89 bucks. But some of the annual passports are around 500. The one I got was 469.

yeah i can totally see that. i was thinking they asked him and he had something smurffy to say or something that verified it.

idk though, still hard to say without the other side of the story. wonder if disney will ever comment...

Honestly, if I were in their position and I felt wronged by the employees at Disney I wouldn't accept the passes either. If I was that upset about it, I wouldn't go back period, so the passes would be irrelvant. And if I felt that wronged, and they wouldn't confirm if the person who wronged me was still working or not, I'd dang sure not go back because I wouldn't want to chance running into them again.

It could have taken six months, because they could have had a dialogue going back and forth. Etc, a few months between the passes being offered, the next letter coming, etc.

That aside, I don't think it was racism. I think it was probably a misunderstanding that snowballed. However, the fact that Disney wanted them to sign a confidential agreement bothers me.

I would also be interested to see what shakes out if they manage to pull the security video.

And I don't know about Disney, but usually when I file a complaint it takes up to 2 months or more to even get a response sometimes lol

I don't quite buy it.
It says the kid was pullin on the tab boy's hand and stuff. Maybe he was trying to pull the character to try to make him walk through the park with him. The characters can't leave their posts if they are stationed somewhere, like at the front gate, and they can't talk, so the rabbit would have to try to use body language to say "no, I can't do that."

I'm not saying all of it is made up, but it sounds highly exaggerated.

They can't talk to the people in the park, so he has to communicate that he can't do things non-verbally. And it does sound like the kids were being really pushy... the mom too, honestly. Telling the damn rabbit 'He wants to sit in your lap' isn't going to help when he has nowhere to let the child sit, and his JOB for the time is to simply greet guests. Not to play easter bunny and let kids in his lap.

I honestly think someone figured that it was Disney, exaggerated the story somewhat, and saw $$$ signs.

Yes, exactly! The characters are never seated. I've been to Disney World a few times and they're always standing. The mom admitted that the rabbit gave them two pictures with the kids. That's good. I only got one picture with each character because so many people want pictures also.
It was very pushy of the mom to tell the rabbit her kid wants to sit in his lap. What was he suppose to do? Give a thumbs up and grab a chair?

Exactly. Every time I've been to Universal/Disney/etc (We used to go when we lived in FL), we had enough time for a hug and ONE pic. She got 4. One with each kid, from what I saw in the vid. Most guests have you all gather for a group pic. They got MUCH better treatment than many people would get... and I'm sure he was hurrying them on, but because he could get in trouble for focusing on one group too long. She sounded, honestly, like she thought that because she paid to get in there, that her kids should be treated extra special and showered with attention.

I don't really know what to think. I go to Disney pretty often and I've never experienced a character that wasn't gracious. It is possible, you never know. I wouldn't sue, I would accept their apology, forgive and take the passes.
They tried to make it right & the only acceptable solution for these people was that the employee be fired.

Yep, it was. She also expected the rabbit to allow her children to sit in his lap, which is not something they do while greeting at the park entrance.
