LMP 11 weeks ago but ultrasound has me at 5w 4d??

posted 6th Feb
Okay so I need some help! I had a beautiful baby girl 22 weeks ago. I had my first and last LMP when she was 11 weeks old. I've been to the doctors and had a blood test coming back positive hcg 1860 very exciting, went for an ultrasound wasn't sure how far I would be but I wasn't expecting to only be 5w 4d! This was last week. I got the results from the doctor yesterday but it was a new doctor and I couldn't understand his accent. The thing that concerns me about the results is this;
Comment: Whilst there is a gestational sac with a fetal pole, it is poorly visualised and the fetal heart rate is only 82bpm (although this may be mistegistering in view of the size of the feral pole).
The CRL is 1.3mm. Does anyone think this is ok? I have lost 2 pregnancies before my daughter and was surprised and delighted with this one. Google has led me to you all

One more thing, I'm exclusively breastfeeding my 22 week old, does my LMP really count when you've only just had a baby? Next ultrasound next Friday to see if its viable. I really hope so

82bpm is a very normal heart rate for such an early gestation. The average heart rate for 5-7 weeks is in the 80-110bpm range. After you have a baby, it can take your body up to a year to finally get your menstrual cycle back in a regular pattern, so it's actually quite reasonable for you t have a perfectly healthy pregnancy with such a distant LMP.

Right now, I would try not to worry, hon. I know it's hard, especially with a history of losses, but that you were able to see so much so early is usually really good.

At 5wks 5days LO was measuring 2.2mm and my OB searched the sac for forever before he found her. He didn't even try to listen to her heart rate because it was so early, but you could see it flickering. At 5 weeks the heart rate is around 80 bpm and it increases by about 3 bpm a day for the first month. So 82 bpm at 5wks 4days sounds pretty normal to me. Your hcg levels are within normal range so at this point I honestly wouldn't worry. My OB just scheduled me for a repeat ultrasound and everything was fine.

Thanks Rabbit and Mylittleone!! I was hoping that would be the case. I just didnt like the way it said 'only 82bpm', freaks me out. Plus that its so early. Ill update the new results after the next ultrasound for anyone that's in a similar boat   fingers crossed and sticky baby dust to all that need it xxx

Thanks Derpy. Mines only 1.3mm at the same gestation age as yours. Hopefully they just couldn't get a good measurement

It's actually pretty impressive that there was a heartrate at all that they could see that early. Normally they can't see a heartbeat until the middle of the 6th week or later. Then it's slower... around 100-ish and speeds up to 120 -180bpm somewhere around 8+ weeks gestation.
