Peanuts and diaper rash?

So Rory had peanut butter sandwiches for dinner last night. Now his butt is red. This is the only new food he's had, peanut butter in that amount. He's had pb cookies before and doesn't have outward reactions, but he was already getting over a burn from coconut oil so I may not have noticed this. Anyone know if the coconut oil/coconut and peanuts could cause the same rash reaction? Or if that's even possible that's why, or is it just a fluke he's getting a rash? The only "rash" he's had before was the reaction to coconut oil. So I dunno.

I thought they couldn't have PB til age 1?

It's a personal choice. His doctor is fine with it as well. A lot of other places don't with hold it and it's fine. I just thought it was odd timing.

Yeah we have none. Other than coconut. But I didn't think they would be related.

I don't think they would be related, since peanuts aren't actually nuts. I'd do a fancy skin test my rubbing a little peanut butter on his arm and seeing if he breaks out.

I'm going to wait until his bum clears up and see if it happens next time I give him some. I don't know if it's just a coincidence.
