My labor story so far.....

Since 37 weeks I've been having regular contractions 1-3 minutes apart. I've been admitted into the hospital twice because of how painful they get. Baby even drops down to -1 station for a bit but then floats back up causing the dilation to stop. So far I've made it to 2-3 cm's dilated and 100% effaced. I wonder how long I will go like this before she finally decides it's time.

It's been about 2 weeks for me. She pushes down so hard sometimes I'm afraid she's going to break my water. How far along were you?

34 weeks when it started and 38 weeks when my water broke.

Good thing you were considered term.   I have people telling me that since I'm 100% effaced that I must be ready and that it's weird that I'm not dilating and I should just get a c-section because of my narrow pelvis. I really don't pay attention to any of that.

Oh good, cuz it sounds like they're full of crap, lol! I did alot of dilating and un dilating during my preterm labour and still had fast spontaneous births at term with zero difficulty pushing them out. Everyone's body is different and reacts differently to labour, I'm fast learning that the definition of normal can be quite broad!

Me too. I really hope that I don't have to be induced. It's ultimately up to when she's ready to come out.
