Quoting Momma Kylee +2.5:" <blockquote><b>Quoting Asher's mommy [Expecting :</b>" It's not guaranteed to do anything, ... [snip!] ... put me into labor right away, i wonder if they could put my iv on then do it instead of using pitocin. Does that make sense?"
Yeah that makes sense, but the thing is... it's just not guaranteed to work! And if it is going to work, it usually takes 24-48 hours for anything to happen at all. If in 48 hours nothing happens, it's not going to. It *could* help with dilation. It sounds like it would be either too risky in your case (like if you were to go into labor unexpectedly 27 hours later or something), or way more trouble than it's worth if it doesn't work.
I'm totally with you, though. I'm trying for a VBAC and my dr. won't use Pitocin to induce it. If I don't go on my own, I'll have to have another C-Section, so I totally understand where your coming from with wanting so badly for it to happen. I hope you go into labor soon, mama!
