Pregnant forever! *vent*
posted 6th Feb
I just feel like I'm going to be pregnant forever! I've done everything to put myself into labor (besides drinking disgusting castor oil) & it just wont happen!
I know, I know.. It wont happen until my body is ready. But, how can my body not be ready when I've had a child before?! Ugh.. Probably a dumb question, but I'm just so overwhelmed. I work 12 hour shifts which make the days feel looonnnngggg and slooowwww, my whole body freakin hurts, my joints in my fingers and especially my wrists are giving me hell, my hips hurt to even walk, I'm trying my best just to be happy and be excited but with every Braxton Hicks contraction, with every time I see discharge in my underwear, with every time I twinge cause of the pressure the baby puts on my vagina, the only thing I can think is "is this it?! Am i in labor now?!" & there's no use in even calling my doctor until either a huge gush of water comes out of me or I'm having contractions that make me wanna break my own fingers cause they hurt so bad beeccaaauuuusseee I've called them twice already due to pain and leaking of fluid and all I get is "well lets just wait it out, watch it for an hour and if it gets worse call us" wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, thats all I've been doing for 9 months!!!! I'm starting to think she's going to be stubborn and not wanna come out vaginally & that I'll have to have a C-section which is something I really dont want!! Not that having a C-section is bad for the baby or anything, I would just rather push her out like my first daughter..
Why is this taking so long... whiiiinnneeeeeee

You just turned 37 weeks. Chill the hell out. The last you thing you need is a nicu baby.
quoteposted 6th Feb
maybe its not ready because your edd isnt for another few weeks?
quoteposted 6th Feb
you still have basically a month. Sorry. She's still got growing to do.

Ummm, pretty sure when you get pregnant, you should be prepared for at least 40 weeks of pregnancy...suck it up, buttercup!

Girl. You're just barely 37 weeks. We still have 3 weeks to go to be considered FULL term. Lots of women go past their due dates. I'm feeling impatient, too, but there is no need to worry about having to have a c-section already...

You just turned 37 weeks , though you don't even know, you might have a 34-35 weeker in there that'd require NICU time if they came out. Don't try anything , even natural things like walking and sex before week 41.

Your not due until the 27th? Why do you want your baby to come so early? I'm 2 days past due and just now feeling this anxious. Let your baby bake some more. I know it's uncomfortable but just a little longer
quoteposted 6th Feb
You're not even full term, you could have 5 weeks left. I suggest you stop trying to induce you labor early (which is pretty dangerous btw) and wait. Your body is OBVIOUSLY not read at 37 weeks.
My first came at 42 weeks and my second came at 41 weeks. Just becaus you've had a baby before doesn't mean you will go into labor early. And how exclu does not going into labor three weeks early equal needing and csection?? That makes ZERO sense.

Why are you trying to induce labor when you aren't even due yet? Do you want a NICU baby?
quoteposted 6th Feb
Yeah chill out.. you're only 37 weeks and not even close to a due day. I was pregnant until my due date. Be grateful you are still carrying the baby because the longer the baby stays in, the better off the baby will be.

You still have a few weeks left yet! Holy smurf God forbid you go overdue! -.- suck it up buttercup ;) both my girls were overdue

Your body isn't ready because you're not full term.
And just because you don't go into labor 3 weeks early doesn't mean you'll have a c-section.

June 28th (a boy), have 1 child & 1 angel baby & live in

WTF. You've done everything you could to put yourself in labor, and you're not even due for 3 more weeks?
Seriously?
Get some damn patience. Pregnancy is 40 weeks, not 'however many weeks you feel like before you get bored'.

How long have you been trying to self induce? I think this is not smart this early in the game. I'm due in two days and if he's not here by tomorrow I'll try walking and sex but that's about the extent I'll be pushing it to. And you said you're body is ready because you've had another kid before... it's not about when you're ready, it's when baby is ready that matters.
