I get mad when I see post's like this my first was born at 34 weeks after trying everything under the sun to keep him in and sense 32 weeks this pregnancy I have been struggling with pre-term labor and just had a little victory dance cause I actually made it to 35 weeks. Be grateful believe me watching your child suffer in the NICU is not worth it.

It irritates me to a certain extent too. Especially when the mothers aren't even term yet and saying they are actively trying to induce their own labors. I just think in that moment they aren't thinking about their child's well-being at all. It seems selfish. I am getting anxious too but it's not that serious. And I have ALL the pains and aches of pregnancy (and I'm sure some days a little extra). This has not been a breeze at all but I just don't want to force him to come you know?
Not to mention how anxious I am to see his little face and kiss his little cheeks... if I could have him now I would be over the moon... but he's not ready.

I agree fully with everything you said. Sometimes I think it's just because they have never had to experience going into pre-term and having a baby in the NICU.

I know a lot of people say well you went at 34 weeks so you don't understand how I feel this far in the game and I have to laugh my water broke at 34 weeks and he was delivered the same day weighing 7 pounds 2 ounces and yes I was uncomfortable but I never wanted him out early. This time around they did a measurement and they said last week my son is weighing around 6 pounds (34 weeks) I am now 35 weeks and I am uncomfortable but to me I would rather be uncomfortable then spend one night with my baby in the NICU.

Right. That has to be hard. I couldn't even imagine the fear that goes through your heart at that point. These last few weeks are so important to the baby's development. They literally need all 40 weeks. I've had two MC scares (under so much stress and some physical complications) with this pregnancy and I am so beyond proud of him for not only hanging in there but he seems like a little overachiever lol. His grandmom on his dad's side was always worried I wouldn't make it past my eighth month and now we're all like... alright baby it's okay to come out and see us now haha.

If I could see you in person I would smack the smurf out of you.
Shut the smurf up and tough it out.
I'm 41 weeks and 2 days and I'm still not throwing a fit about it like you are.

It's not 'just a vent' when she's admittedly tried inducing labor before reaching 37 weeks. If it was a vent, people would have just told her to be patient, that it's worth the wait, etc. No, when she mentioned how she's been trying to self-induce already, and she was JUST turning 37 weeks, THAT'S what earned her a smurfstorm.
