Teeth?

Hey all:
Just wondering when your preemies got their first tooth? Actual age and adjusted age.

Paige has been acting very unPaige-like all weekend. She has been VERY cranky, won't stop crying even when held, and she keeps biting me and my husband! LOL She'll bury her head in our shirts and just start growling and biting. She is also sticking her fist in her mouth (she usually HATES the taste of her own hand/fingers). Paige is 4.5 months actual, 1.5 months adjusted. Too early for teething I think....?

I have no idea about teething, my preemie is only 2 and a half months old. But Wellements and Similasan Gripe water says they help with teething, you could try that to give her some releif. They are both around $11 at Walgreens.

Yeah, I think it might just be her exploring, rather than teething. My 28 weeker got teeth at 8 1/2 months actual, 6 months adjusted. Ethan does a lot of what you described Paige doing, but I doubt he'll get teeth any time soon! He's 6 months today =) (actual)

My DD is 11 months actual and 9 months adjusted and still has no teeth. She has been biting and drooling for 3 months now. The other possibility is that she has an ear infection. Infants often bite when their teeth are bothering them. Hope this helps.

andrew's actual age is 10 1/2 months adjusted age 8 1/2 months. He just got his first tooth coming in a week ago. How long does it take for a tooth to come all the way in?

My friends term baby didn't get teeth until his first birthday!

My son was 1 year old adjusted 10 months.. Now he's 18 months ( 16mos) and has 7 teeth. And let me tell you preemie or not they still get cranky and don't want to eat... He's working on # 8 ...

Thanks everyone. I know that term babies get can get teeth around 4 months, but I was pretty sure that it would be a while more before Paige started. She is just acting so weird with all the crying and biting!
