Hot damn that was fast.

I filed our taxes today, and they were accepted tonight.

Has this been that quick for anyone else? How quick did you get your refund if it was that quick?

um no.. but now I'm even angrier than I was before.. we filed on the 23rd officially, and they are still in the processing phase...

i filed the 30th got accepted the 30th and will be getting my refund tomorrow. (the 7th). i filed threw h&r block at home

It took a few days to get accepted. I filed the 30th and am supposed to get it the 8th. SO's was just accepted, but no deposit date yet.

is anyone on your taxes eligible for the education credit? Those aren't yet being processed by the IRS. We filed ours and the IRS isn't ready for tax returns including education credits as of yet

same here. We filed mid-January and it's still processing. That's BS!

Yes we are eligible for education credits too. We did our taxes through Jackson Hewitt. What we did though was file our original w2s and once our taxes come in we are going to go to Jackson Hewitt and amend the taxes to do our education credits. This way our taxes can be in on time.
OP we filed ours on the 30th but the one who did our taxes messed up my son's ss# so we ended up submitting it on the 1st and it got accepted on the 1st. As of right now it's still in the processing phase. This really sucks because I want my taxes.

nope. hubby is military, and we did a sign and save, where we took his final LES for 2012 in, since they list yearly deductions and taxes on them. we filed that on jan 18. then took his LES in for verification when it came in, and they told me it was filed that day... but online it says it is still in the first phase...

could be they're not quite ready for military taxes? They're having issues re-structuring the computer system I believe

I am upset also. I Don't understand why some get accepted faster than others! I don't have anything special on my. Just kids and interest from my house. I wonder why some get accepted quicker than others?

I don't know either. Ours is cut an dry. Just 2 w2s and our two kids. My cousin and her sister are both single with no dependants and her sister filed after she did and is getting her taxes tomorrow. My cousin is like us, still in the processing phase. The IRS is just weird. I am wondering how do they go about processing the returns. Like do they go alphabetical order, status or what. I wonder what their process is.

I did ours tonight and it was accepted in 20 mins. Haha. Hopefully that's a good sign!!

Our got accepted right away too and as of today it's still in processing mode. We did ours on the 1st.
