re: Sharing rooms

posted 6th Feb
Our situation is a little weird, hah. We have 2 small bedrooms and 2 small kids. We're getting DS a twin bed with our tax money. I will be using it with DS2 while DS1 and DH share the full bed in our bedroom. Once DS2 is transitioned into his crib DS1 will reclaim the bed and I will go back with DH.

we co-slept with all of our kids but #2. for some reason he would not sleep if I was in bed with him. with #3, she only co-slept for a month or 2 while I was bf. after that she went to a crib, and I just had to get up and ff her at all hours of the night :/

Me and my brother shared a room until we were like 12 or something. We had bunkbeds a dresser and a computer desk. It worked it wasn't huge room either but we also didn't have like tons of toys.

YES! The walk in closet will HELP a lot lol.... Unfortunately we don't really have a choice because we don't have a 3rd bedroom but if we did i'd definitely give them their own rooms.. If you want them to share i'd definitely give them the bigger room.

Our girls share, but we have a bonus/playroom for all their toys...the only things in their room: crib, twin bed, toy chest (dress up), changing table/dresser and then there is a dresser in the closet!

Wow they must have a pretty big room to fit all that in there. Our kids room can only fit their beds (single & king single) and a tiny little book shel for bedtime stories. Their closet is only big enough for their clothing and a tub of his nappies (which I have to change him on his bed). We had to remove their door to be able to fit in his bed or else the door would be in the way lol.

My children are 12, 10 and 4. They have always shared a room. (They are all girls) I do think that we were lucky enough that their room was big enough for all of their stuff, they had their own beds, but slept together anyways. They also had their own toy box. They were constantly bugging and make believing that they had their own rooms. In the past 2 years we build our home and now they have their own room. Guess where they sleep! They all sleep together in the 12 yr old's room, on her single bed. They have their own rooms, their own beds, and their own space, but they still look to sleep together. So I am thinking of changing one into an office. Over all, I think that if they want to share a room that you will always find a way for it to work.
