Sometimes people can seem a lot sicker then they are. I know most people think I look totally healthy, especially on a good day. On a bad day though, I can hardly get out of bed. If you have enough bad days that you can't work, you could get onto disability even if you have some good days. I have fibromyalgia and 90% of people I know have no idea I do because you wouldn't ever be able to guess.

Idk but however she's getting 2400 a month & not working for it is ridiculous. If it's disability, I get that she can't work or whatever, but they should really lower their payments. 2400 a month is alot of money to get for free when others are working full time & don't even bring in that much income.

yeap if I work full time at min wage here I'll bring in 1419 before taxes. 0___0 guess the trick is to not ever do anything.

Maybe that isn't all in cash. As in, maybe some of that is medical costs, daycare for kids, food stamps, different programs you know? Though I would be very surprised if it were that much. My step-mom is on disability and she gets VERY little.

Yeah. My step-mom gets like, maybe 600 or something. And she's in California, so she's from a high cost of living state.

Yeah it depends alot on how much you put in and everything. Like I get a little higher than average but I was under 21 when I applied so I didn't need to work as long as someone older. But I know someone who gets less than I do and she is 50. But she is qualified for SSI as well and I'm qualified but can't receive any funds.
