When did you have first sex after d&c?

I just had my d&c on monday and I know right now it's really soon, but I'm just wondering how long you waited to have unprotected sex again? I had already passed almost everything before my d&c. I started miscarrying on the 20th, had an ultrasound the following thursday and was prescribed cytotec, and then prescribed a second dose the next friday to try one more time. This past monday when I went for another checkup they determined there was still products of the miscarriage left and decided on a d&c. I am already not bleeding anymore so I'm curious if that is an okay to be able to start again? I wasn't given an exact timeline of how long I should wait, just when I feel comfortable and am not bleeding anymore.

I had mine first week of december i think i waited around 6 weeks.

I think you are supposed to wait a whole normal cycle before trying again.

Did you wait that long mainly because of bleeding or because they advised that? I am just anxious to try again and of course to be intimate again. I mean I've been through a few deployments and I can obviously wait, but when DH is right here next to me every night and we can't do anything it's kind of frustrating.

I stopped bleeding rather fast. I just wanted to follow what they said. and yeah i know what you mean i was dying! haa

You should wait at least two weeks before having sex because your cervix was dilated, leaving you much more prone to infection.
