What to do..

So my friend is pregnant, and she wants to have an abortion.
The closest place she could go to do so is over two hours away, and she has no way to get there.
Nor the money to get there, or pay for the procedure. (Yes, I am aware there are places that do a sliding scale, ect. But she still can't get to any of these places.)

Anyways. Internet research has shown that overdosing in vitamin C, drinking parsley tea, and taking black or blue cohosh can induce a miscarriage.
Anyone have experience with this?
Does it actually work?
Shes probably 4-6 weeks.
She is running out of options at this point, having the child and adoption are not options for her, as she does not want to be pregnant, already has home problems.. it's in the best interest of everyone for this pregnancy to be terminated.

She really needs to find a way to get the pregnancy terminated the correct way.

I just don't know what to do for her, there is no way that I can help her, no one will help her out either, and she's just stuck.

But there are no places locally that do abortions at all. =/

All the ways you explained, aren't for sure ways to do it yourself. Terminating a pregnancy isn't a simple DIY project.

Totally understand that its nt supposed to be a do it yourself kinda thing, but I don't know how else to help her. I called every place in town that I could find in the phone book.online, I called a hotline that is supposed to help-- even they didn't know what to suggest.

What scares me most is that this is all so stressful for her that she's spiraling into a depression because no one can help her. =/

Does she know who the father is? Can he take her?

She does and he also has no way to take her. He is also totally on board for her having the abortion and is trying his best to be supportive but has no other way to help besides being by her side and helping her cope with her symptoms and depression right now.

totally agree! sorry idk what to say really, i don't have any ideas to help her :/ only thing i know is to go with adoption, but you said she already has home problems so idk. i deff wouldn't do it just by doing that though.

Yeah adoption really isn't an option as it's really unlikely that she will be able to carry the pregnancy healthily.
Plus with how depressed she is right now.. I highly doubt she could mentally make it through another pregnancy.

Does she have a GYN ? They might be able to point her in the correct direction.

She doesn't since she doesn't have insurance. I called my OB for my last pregnancy and they had no advice 'cept for a pregnancy center that is 6 hours away.

She can try a parsley pessary (up against cervix) and ODing on vit c etc.. parsley tea doesn't really work and i can imagine drinking tons would be disgusting.

The only thing is.. because she may be 6 weeks it has much less a chance that it'll work.. the sooner after conception you do it the sooner it works.

Which means if it doesnt work then she'll need to have the pregnancy terminated ASAP or could end up with a disabled child for trying the at home methods.

Honestly.. i think she should really try to get it done professionally.

I don't know what USA is like with credit cards etc, but if she really cant afford a child then i'd risk being in a little bit of debt, travelling to have it done & paying that off.

She has no credit cards, and no income So no ay to get into debt over this. No one to loan her money. nothing.

I just don't know how to help her.

I tried all of those methods when I was 18 and pregnant by rape. Planned Parenthood wanted $365 from me and I was a high school student with no income. So I was desperate.
None of it worked.
Ended up having my pregnancy surgically terminated at 8 weeks 5 days.
Some places will give college students with a college ID a free or very low cost abortion Pill here, don't know about your state.
but there are various programs that many states offer to cover all of or a majority of the cost.
She could take busses or ask someone to drive her. Where there is a will there is a way.
but I really wouldn't recommend using the methods you described as they are largely ineffective and if she can't terminate the ppregnancy after the baby could have complications.
