We have a Bugaboo Bee+ with wheeled board for our 18mo and 5yo. It's awesome for errands, but is great for all day too...like zoo's, amusement parks, etc. other than that our 5yo rarely uses the board [she's in school all day] and never sits in the seat, but could definitely fit if needed...the seatback is height adjustable, as well as the leg rest. It's also very compact and light weight, fits nicely behind the 3rd row in my Honda Pilot & previous Volvo xc90! It may have more features than you want/need...not sure you want to spend $650+ on a travel stroller, I would be hesitant to gate check it.

A Baby Jogger City Mini would also suit your needs! I wouldn't feel bad checking it either, they're only about $200-$250. It's wheeled board compatible too...

Oh, we used our Peg Perego Pliko P3 the last time we flew...it's compact but long, so it's not always a great trunk fit. But it's so roomy, ginormous canopy, plush seats and a step on back for an older sibling to hitch a ride.

I spent most of the day watching stroller reviews online. Ideally I wanted to beefed up umbrella because I have my uber nice full size that cost a fortune. I think we have settled on the cybex onyx.

Hmmmm. I would definitely try that out in person, Cybex is iffy! There was a girl in SAA who had a couple, all with issues. i think she eventually gave up on the brand. I'm not an umbrella fan though, we had a Maclaren Techno XLR and they're not great for 1 hand pushing...kind of a must with 4 kids, bags...etc.

Sadly i dont have anywhere to try it out in person. I read multiple pages of reviews online from different sites and they were all generally really good. I need something super compact like an umbrella and something I feel comfortable gate checking.
