D and C

I go in Friday for a D and C and I just wanted to know what was it like for other people who may have gone through it. I am so nervouse that I wont be able to conceive again. Any advice is surley needed atm. =C

Hi,Im sorry for your loss, I had a D&C in May and i am 15 weeks pregnant now, Its sooner than we had expected and in someways hoped as we had planned a reak to get through it all but i am so grateful to be proplerly pregnant again.

The actual op is fine they will put you under and then you wake up pain free and its all over   I hadsome bleeding and the mildest period pains after but they gavce me cocodamol and cylclizone(sp for sickness)

I had to have a dnc at the end of this past August for a blighted ovum. We just found out we are finally pregnant with #2! I got my first period exactly 6 weeks after the procedure and then my 2nd period was 2 weeks late....every period since november has been regular.... now I'm pregnant! Good luck hun I'm sorry you have to go through this   I was in and out in a matter of a couple hours and home resting. Didn't get cramps and bleeding for a couple days but it was mostly just like a period. ((hugs))

Had a D&C July 2006. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be. I remember counting back from 100 and only making it to 96 lol.

I had a miscarriage resulting in a D&C in 08' and had my DS in 09', and now I'm pregnant again with my second child. They put you to sleep and besides some cramping afterwards its not very painful. Good luck!!

Thank You Ladies. Its just so weird atm I was sent home to MC at home but we ended up scheduling becuse I need a rhogam shot and it would be the safest route for me. Its my first MC and It was pretty shocking. I am so Happy to hear about the non complications after the pages of paper I had to sign today with all the warnings. Do they do a untra sound before they do it to double check or is it just done and move on?

For me it was just done and move on... it may be different where you are though <3

My bestfriend's Dr. punctured her uterus during a D&C and she carried a healthy big baby boy to term after it.
