Quoting Mommy to 3 boys & 1 girl:" Mine started out not so bad then after an hour or 2 it got pretty bad. I also had pain in my thighs. If you plan on going to L&D I'd wait it out for awhile and see if the pain gets worse."

Yeah I'm going to wait as long as possible. Like I said, it's bad... it's not horrible. While I can, I'm going to take a shower and stuff. Call me vain. Ha.

Quoting Asher's mommy [Expecting :" Ah, I see. How did you know when to go to the hospital? "
I went to the hospital when I couldn't take the pain anymore, I couldn't even stand it hurt so bad and my legs were really weak for some reason and I was only 5 cm.

I can see that for sure. My thighs and butt are killing me. I can see not being able to walk well after a while...

It was terrible but the best part was since my water didn't break yet I got to sit in a hot tub for an hour, to help her turn

Sooo much worse than regular labor! With DD I had 'regular' labor and if I moved a certain way it would help ease the contractions in the beginning. With DS I had back labor and it started a week before I actually had him. So I had to deal with a constant achy pain in my lower back that no matter which way I moved I just wanted to cry. The pain eventually wrapped around to the front but it still hurt more in my back than in my stomach.

With all 4 of my kids I had HORRIBLE back labor! Ohh lucky me! Mine was constant and didnt come and go. It must be something about the way thatmy uterus is positioned. With my 3rd, the day I went into labor was a nightmare. When I got out of bed in the morning i heard this ccccccrrrrrrrraaaaaccckkkk!!
I told everyone that it felt like my pelvis had shattered! Needless to say I was barely able to walk. Did I mention that we still want 1 more baby?? haaahha

Omg back labour is a bitch!!
Babies 1 and 2 were normal lower stomach contractions....painful but bearable.
3rd baby was back to back. I started out with regular contractions which weren't bad, then by the time I got to hospital all the pain moved around to my back. I wanted to DIE!!! And no matter which position I moved to, nothing helped.
It was also a constant pain, but got really strong with each contraction.
