miscarriage question

Last Thursday I poas and got a bfp, no doubt about itthat it was accurate. It showed up immediately was dark pink and fully there. Plus I had the sore boobs to go along with it. Last week I was/would of been 4 weeks. Well since that Sunday before I had been cramping pretty badly, Monday I started bleeding and bled up until Saturday. During that time I was passing tic tac sized clots had back pain as well so I figured I was miscarrying. I just took another test about 20 min ago and it was negative. No sign of a second line at all. My question is that is it normal for tests to be showing up negative already when not even a week ago I got a very obvious positive? Maybe because I was so early still? I'll find out for sure tomorrow, I finally go in to the doctors but I was just curious about the test.

So sorry that happened to you. Had the identical thing happen with me last last month. Got a BFP on a digital wed and started bleeding sun. When I went to the doc ten days later my test was negative. He said my levels dropped so quick because it was so early.

Yes this can be normal bit could of been what they considered a chemical pregnancy. So it makes the levels go down very quickly. It happend to us before we got pregnant the second time.

Sounds like a chemical pregnancy. That's where the egg fertilizes and releases hcg but doesn't implant, you your period starts around the same time. The hcg is so low that early that it doesn't take long to leave your system.

Thank you. I'm sorry about your loss as well. Its crazy how fast your levels drop. That's what I am expecting to hear tomorrow.

That would make sense. My period was due the Friday before I started bleeding so at first I thought it was my period being a couple days late because I had just started a new BC pill and I'm 4 months pp so I know it can be screwy, but with the sore boobs I had to test and it came back positive.

IDK how fast they normally drop, but I do know I went from a reading of 80 HcG once to 0 in about 3 days. So they do drop fast & 80 will give you a dark line.
