Necrophilia, bestiality and pedophilia all have an partner that is not giving consent. How can you compare the two? Its not the same and to even suggest those need to be legal so 2 consenting ADULTS can have their love recognized legally is ludicrous

I still cannot understand how someone can even compare the two on the same level, in a serious way. It's mind boggling anyone can essentially compare raping a child to being gay

No the situations he compared aren't even close to comparable. Other than polygamy, all of those situations are disgusting and wrong and shouldn't be legalized. BUT if same-sex marriage gets legalized nationwide, there WILL be someone coming out of the woodwork asking why he/she can't marry their underage lover or something of that sort. (And there ARE consensual underage relationships, it's not always rape. I know someone personally who was just arrested and charged, as they should be, for having a consensual relationship with a minor.)

I'm just saying there will never be true equality. To do that, everything would have to be made legal, and that would cause total mayhem.

People like that will want to do that whether it not gays can marry or not. Gays being able to marry aren't going to make crazy people crazier.

Gay marriage is the same as straight marriage. It IS. It requires nothing extra except for us to pull our heads out of our asses.

I haven't reconsidered my opinion on same sex marriage. At all. Let them get married if they want to.

All it made me realize was that there will never be true equality. Not everyone will be able to have the right to live their life as they please. I don't know how much more simpler I can put it. I'm not saying we shouldn't legalize it, and I'm in no way saying legalize the other situations. Again, my point was there will never be absolute equality. Someone will always be trying to make an equal rights movement for SOMETHING. Whether it be sexual orientation, race, religion, age, or gender. We will never all truly be equal.

All adult consensual relationships should be legal.
