She wants a natural birth.

I asked her how the doula felt but she said she has no idea, she is just a nice lady. Hence her feeling terrible about the situation, because the woman has done NOTHING wrong.

Idk about the contract, I'd have to ask.

While I fully believe doulas are beneficial in helping obtain a natural birth they are not a requirement. Plenty of women do it with doulas. She basically has two options, address the situation with the doula, or continues to be uncomfortable. Either way its not fair to either person. The doula should of addressed the situation already and your friends shouldn't of waited a mont. She is kinda between a rock and a hard place.
