vent....

posted 6th Feb
My mom was asked to babysit 2 days a week for a friend, and she agreed to but works part of the time they needed watched..so i said I'd watch them till she got off work. Well its turned into only me watching them.. She gets off work and sits on the computer or lays in bed the rest of the day. I seriously regret moving back here... Living alone was so much easier, but i had no where else to go.. Now I'm stuck here paying their bills with my unemployment, can't find a job, trying to get back into school, and not only taking care of my 2 year old but also 2 grown adults. I cook, i clean, i pay most the bills. The whole reason for moving other than my landlords being stupid dicks was to get help with my son so that i could either find a good job or go back to school. But no, she can't even change his diaper while I'm cooking dinner.. So today is one of the days I'm babysitting. I'm expected to watch 3 kids and do dishes, clean the house, and make sure they are fed and happy... I asked my mom if when she gets off work today i could go and get some stuff donethat I've been putting off for3 days and she flipped... Saying i have no idea how hard it is to watch 3 kids alone.... Really? What exactly does she think i do all day? She would only have to watch them for an hour.... That's it..... I need to go to the college and get everything taken care of sooooo i can start school... I'm about ready to look into student loans and take out as much as i can and move out and live of them till i get done with school...

Just take your kid and go run your errands when she gets back. Get some assistance for daycare or look into housing assistance

Just do it you are an adult, and it is her responsibility if she agreed to do it.

Yeah I would just take my kid and leave. Look into housing assistance and all of that until you get on your feet. No way would I put up with that.

The housing assistance takes 2 years. I've already applied a few months ago. And my son just got over being sick, and is a monster in public right now so i didn't want to take him. It'll be a lot of sitting and waiting. Everything i do is wrong in her eyes. If i do the dishes i should have spent that time playing with my son. If i don't do them its the end of the world... I apply for school and the fight is i should be working and supporting myself not going to school. When i was working and living alone she'd constantly call telling me to move back and finish school so i won't have to live paycheck to paycheck my whole life... Idk what to do...

Stop making excuses. If you want to do something different with your life than do it.

If I'm applying for school and getting it all set up I'm obviously doing something. But i can't just go to school and be homeless with my son. How am i making excuses? Because i don't want to take my kid out when he just got over being sick? I'm pretty sure that's being responsible, not making excuses. I don't want to be the parent responsible for taking her kid with her and getting everyone sick. The flu this year according to the Dr is still contagious for 7 days AFTER symptoms are gone.

Your using your unemployment to pay their bills. Stop
You can't get a job or apply for school. Pick one, do it.

I have already applied for school. I'm trying to set up appointments so i can get smurf transferred and get registered... That's the whole reason formy frustration with my mother. I have canceled 3 days worth of appointments at the college because my son has been sick and she won't watch him when he is sick. I can't just stop paying their bills. They are already behind on their bills because they blew their money at the casino. Until i can move out i will continue to pay them because its keeping a roof over my sons head.

Keep your head up first of all!   It will eventually get better! I know what it's like having to live with family and trying to start over with kids. I know it's easier said than done, but it really will get better! I'm a year from graduating and very excited to know that I am so very close to reaching a goal that I have set for myself, and knowing that I will soon be able to take care of my kids   You'll get there!! Good Luck!!!
