Due April 3rd

posted 6th Feb
With a precious little boy! His name is Lakyn Tarek. (kind of like Darek but instead pronounced with a 'T.') From my ultrasound last Tuesday, he weighed 3lbs & 6oz. What is everyone naming theres? I was wondering if anyone else is due around that time and if they have a big bump or a small bump. My doctor said I am measuring a month ahead when he measures my stomach but personally, I don't see it. I feel as if I am measuring really small to be 32 weeks. I don't look big at all. I look like I am probably more 5-6 months. lol.I get really jealous when I see girls who are not as far as I am or due around the same time with a huge, cute bump. This is my first by the way. Has anyone else been like this?

I am also due on April 3rd with a little boy. I can't relate with you on the small bump though...I feel huge. I think this baby might be bigger than the last one. My first child was 7 lb 9 oz when he was born

Awww! Congrats. I haven't actually talked to anyone with the same due date as myself, so that is pretty exciting. How is your pregnancy going? Do you have any medical problems? I am high risk because of my epilepsy.

I'm right there with you!! Im due April 2nd and feel huge too :-) Little boy here too. I had my last measurement ultrasound last Friday and he weighed 3lbs 5 oz... we go in for weekly ultrasounds and find out weight bi-weekly so I'm excited to see what he weighs now... ALMOST done ladies!!

High risk here too from my blood pressure, do you go in for a lot of ultrasounds? I go in weekly and its the best part of my pregnancy, getting to see him every week!!

Lucky! I would love to go every week for ultrasounds. My last few ultrasounds have been vaginal because my cervix have been thining out slightly since 29 weeks. I recently switched doctors at 24 weeks, so that could be a reason why they have not done much with me. I go for my doctors appointments every two weeks. Everytime before my appointment I wish quietly to myself that maybe the doctor will do an ultrasound. The time before last I was told I was going to get an ultrasound that day and I was so excited, I went in to only be dissapointed when the tech told me that they were doing an ultrasound of my cervix!

I am due April 13th with a boy we are naming Brendon Michael.   I get an ultrasound at almost every appointment. Was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes and my baby is measuring ahead by 3 wks.   But they say it's normal for someone with gestational diabetes to have a big baby. I've had people tell me I look like I am going to pop any day now.. So I can't say I know what it feels like to have a little bump. I feel huge. And I am really anxious for the finish line. This pregnancy has been a nightmare.. One thing after another. I'll just be glad when I get to hold him in my arms.   That's what makes it all worth it in the end! My first pregnancy was a piece of cake! But I love getting all the Ultrasounds with this one. We've had one at pretty much every appointment. They are keeping a really close eye on his weight to prevent a huge baby, but I figure whatever happens... Happens.

Mine has been a nightmare too with the blood pressure issues... I've already had to be hospitalized to keep it down. I'm looking forward to the end!! I can't wait to hold him either, it'll all be worth it then <3!! Hope everyone has safe deliveries!! Anyone else having a c-section?? With my DS I had to have an emergency csection for the same issue so this one is scheduled for March 27th as the hospital is not insured for VBAC... I don't think I would have a vaginal birth after csection anyways... I wouldnt want to risk the placental abruption!

For me labor is going to be kind of risky. At my last appointment the doctor and I were discussing options and I found out that I may not be able to have an epidural because not only do I have epilepsy, but I have pseudo tumor cerebri and have a history of spinal heachaches with the spinal block. So I was told if I do end up having to have a c-section that it is going to be a little risky as they will have to put me to sleep. Honestly, I don't want to have a c-section but I am extremely nervous and scared about having to do it all natural as well! I have a really low pain tolerance!! lol.

I had my daughter naturally.. no pain meds. I convinced myself my entire pregnancy that I could do it.

I was completely against having a csection the first time too... but I could have died if I continued labor... I was in labor for 12 hours and didnt dilate at all and my DS's heart rate dropped dangerously low, plus the medication they had me on to keep my blood pressure low wasn't good to stay on for him...In the end though Im happy I decided on it... Just weigh the risks, get a second opinion if you need to and make your decision from there! You still have some time to figure it out!

I know this sounds like a stupid question, but is doing it natural really as bad as everyone makes it seem?

Honestly.. I am not gonna lie to you at all. Its painful and it hurts.. its n ot easy.. but its manageable. I just kept thinking about the baby at the end of all the pain that I would be able to hold. That baby the first time you look into their eyes.. makes you forget the pain you feel. I think its totally worth it, but I also hate needles and have a messed up back so the thought of an epidural and all the horror stories I had heard.. scared me more than anything. So I thought it was the best thing for both my baby and I. My husband was by my side the entire time and was awesome support for me and he encouraged me and pushed me. It made it easier.

Ive never had a natural birth because of health complications, but I have heard that you dont even think about the pain any more once you hold your child for the first time <3 I can see how that would be true!
