We both have children from separate partners. His son is 4 and mine is 9mos old. He's a great man with a big heart who's taking in another mans child with one of his own. He's one hell of a worker, too. So, for them to treat them as poorly as they do is just unacceptable and if you don't see it that way, that's okay. It's really not your place to judge us, our relationship and our situation. This forum is meant to be a place where anybody can talk about anything and get helpful advice! Maybe I am wrong for being the way I am, but they're no better. I am young, and I don't know how to handle a situation such as this, that's why I came here, for help, not to be belittled and mocked.

I was giving you my personal opinion. Welcome to the Internet where anyone and everyone can call it how they see it.

There is a way to go about things though where you could give advice that is actually helpful instead of coming off as ignorant.

Don't mind the people who can't be kind about things. There are people on here who can be nice and still tell you how it is at the same time, promise.

What did you want me to say? That its alright to free load and expect them to kiss the ground you walk on? Or just simply be alright that you are living in THEIR house? My advice was for you to stop expecting them to respect you when you are doing nothing to earn it. You are in the wrong. Your SO legally is entitled to live in the house as you previously posted but you aren't until he purchases it.

After reading everything I would just suggest grinning and baring it until the house is signed over unless that's going to take awhile because if its going to be a long wait I would get a lease written up and pay rent so they can't come in and out. Also its super messed up that your bf let them take his microwave. Has he said anything to them about getting it back yet?

Thanks! I really appreciate your help! People think that just because I'm young then obviously I'm immature and stupid, that's not the case. I am young, yes, but I'm far from stupid, I just have less life experience than an older woman might have.

Takes a freeloader to know one, and where'd you get your law degree? Walmart?

No problem. And I definitely know what you mean. But like someone else said, see if he can talk them into letting him sing a lease with them. That way you guys have a written agreement and they won't be able to come in and out like that.

My SO is a lawyer thank you very much and my sister and brother tried freeloading off of me for a long time. I let them for a year and then kicked their asses to the curb.

I believe in the WILL it's stated that he's to live there (rent-free) until the home is sold because he's cared for his sick gram since he was 17. I don't live there yet, because of all the drama, my son doesn't need that. I live about 2.5hrs away!

How is asking them to simply knock on the door before coming in and not entering when they arent home asking them "to kiss the ground she walks on"? And stealing their microwave is all cool because they own the house? If someone was staying in my house I wouldn't walk in their room and take what I pleased. She's just asking for basic common courtesy not the world on a silver platter. Just because they are staying tere for free doesn't mean it's okay to treat them like dirt and steal their smurf. They are going to buy the house and are paying all the bills. They aren't freeloading.

Well, to the best of my knowledge a WILL is a binding contract and it says he's allowed to live there rent free until the house is bought. Sooo, they can't kick him out until the house is purchased. Also, he pays every single bill that needs to be paid, his family doesn't, so...I believe that makes him not a freeloader (also to the best of my knowledge).

She's not even living there. Her SO didn't care about the microwave until he clued in that that's what she uses to heat up her babies food. She doesn't live there and wants her SO to say something to his aunts/mom about it. If he doesn't care to speak up that's his choice. Not paying rent=freeloaders.
