Wedding buffet (how does it look?)

posted 6th Feb
Ok so I found a place I can afford they're doing my cake actually lol I wrote them off at first because I didn't like their premade buffet menus but I realized ican order individual amounts.. So how's this look
They don't have a ton of choice they get two meat choices (we're leaning towards the sirloin and stuffed chicken rather than the pasta) and then 3 sides
Oh and I'm serving anywhere from 60-80 people depending on how many of the NY guests RSVP
Sides:
Herbed potato salad: 18lbs $98.82
Asparagus (blanched or roasted): 18lbs $269.82
Basmati rice pilaf: 18lbs $98.82
Meat (I picked the best sounding ones so we could pick 2 and would ask about cutting them into smaller potions to serve more if 18lbs wasn't enough):
Stuffed chicken breast(boneless chicken stuffed with EITHER ham and Swiss OR feta cheese and sundries tomatoes): 18lbs $323.82
Bourbon and black pepper beef sirloin( marinated with Jim beam and crushed black pepper cooked med. rare): 18lbs $341.82
Chicken tetrazzini(chicken breast pieces, mushrooms, onions, and linguine in creamy white sauce): 18lbs $232.82

They wouldn't have many choices on sides but I thought the quality more than made up for it.

Most people I know don't like basmati rice but other than that it's ok I guess. Though try to get every one out of there before they start peeing out that asparagus, 18 lbs worth of asparagus pee is gonna be AWFUL lol

Yes but just in case if there are my sister an me are going to be making some small things to go on the table like a cheese tray with crackers and fruits and snacks and kid friendly stuff too that won't have meat in it

Tbh and it may sound bitchy I'm not too worried about it.. There will be something for everyone and if they have to miss out on something oh well.. I'm trying so hard to please everyone that I've been settling and I'm over it. Especially with the food which is super stressing me out I'm kinda like.. I'm gettin what I'm gettin and if they don't like it they can just have cake.
And eww asparagus pee haha

She's already spending a lot of money on food
Why should she spend a couple hundred more on vegetarian food just incase one or two people show up that happen to not eat meat?
That doesn't make her a bitch

Yes it does. She invited these people. She needs to make sure they are taken care of. She just needs one or two entrees. Not 18 lbs worth.

When you're throwing a party, you need to make sure al the guests are satisfied.

You have two chicken dishes, why not sub one for a vegetarian dish? I agree that you should have options to accommodate everyone, it seems pretty rude not to.

Especially if some of them are traveling from out of town just to attend. NY to VA is a long drive to snack on asparagus and cheese. They are paying gas to get there, probably staying at hotels and could be taking time off work, not to mention if they are bringing wedding gifts.

Right? I paid extra for vegan entrees. Only for two people, but guess what? They were my guests. It was my job to make sure they had food and nt just asparagus and potatoes to snack ln.

Maybe she doesn't know much about vegetarian dishes or what to even serve for them? I sure as heck don't. No need to call her a bitch. And besides she did say she is pretty positive no vegetarians are coming to the wedding anyway.

Honestly I hope you have no vegetarians coming. I invited a lot of vegetarians so I was sure to have both a meat option and a vegetarian option. Food that was ok for diabetics and gluten free. I really needed to feed everyone I could think of that was coming. Especially since they all came so far to support us.
