The only grumpy one is you. Maybe if you ate a clean diet you wouldn't be as mad all the time. It feels good. I promise.

LOL I'm not mad, just pointing out that you were the one being bitchy to this woman who is about to have her special day. Rice pilaf, vegetables and potato salad are more than enough to fill up on. Even my meat eating ass has been more than fine eating that as a meal. Maybe you just eat a ton, but most people could fill up on that just fine.
You also don't know HOW many people she is inviting, so it is very possible she invited more than 36 people and 18 lbs is the recommended amount of food for that many people.
