I understand my DD was 4 pounds, Even now at 15 months she's 18 pounds! I'd kill my pedi if he said that to me.

At LO"s one year check up about a week ago, the pedi commented he was on the smaller side. I actually cut him off and said "Well both his dad and I are small". He shut up really fast saying "Then we have nothing to worry about"

LO has consistently gained weight and height since birth, slowly though. I, myself am only 5'1" 135lbs and Daddy is 5'4" 170lbs.

been thru this with my pregnancy and after birth....trust me your not alone in wishing you could just bitch slap your kids pedi sometimes
hell my husband was watching a show with me and it described the typical stature of a midget which was long body broad shoulders and short legs etc.
my husband said oh thats what they must think is going on lol they think I gave birth to a midget....as a short person I find this annoying to say the least and I did hit my husband for that lol

My DD gains slowly, always has.
Her father and I both didn't hit 20lbs until well after 1.
She's 13 months old and roughly 19lbs 30in. She's just petite, and her pedi wants her on pediasure too.

My kid hasnt gained weight in almost two years. She stays around 32 pounds and the pedi is worried that she may be anemic or something like that. She acknowledged that I am small but says she wants to makes sure there is no medical issues that are keeping her from gaining weight. Doctors are getting annoying as hell they want all kids to fit into the growth curve and god forbid they are outside it any at all.

My older kids pedi pissed me off, because at 5 years old DS is around 55lbs and DD at 4 years old is around 48lbs. I can't remember the height but it was above the curve as usually but the pedi said i NEEDED to bring them back in 6 months because they were overweight and needed to be on a diet. They have always been bigger babies, but my youngest is the smallest and at one point one of her pedi's wanted me to stop BF'ing, never gave a valid or good reason though and i told him to forget it and requested not to have my kids seen by him again.

My son is almost 6 and he has been teetering 38 - 42 lbs for the last year and a half. lol. I would find another pedi. In all honest. My exes sister weighed nothing when she was 6 - 7.. and last time I saw her, was about a yearish ago and she was still a rail skinny... Some kids eat everything in the world and not gain weight.
