Chicago has some of the highest crime rate. My cousin lives there and was just robbed at gunpoint. Criminals do not follow these gun laws. (She does not live in a bad area either)

No one will ever make me think that owning an assault rifle is okay. No one. The only people that need these weapons are the ones we pay to protect us.

No but the military has nuclear warheads. So according to your logic the average citizen should be allowed to build one in their backyard.

What does owning a gun and saying you'll use it to protect yourself have to do with being a Christian? Owning and/or collecting guns doesn't mean you'll use them to kill anyone.
