Finally got what we needed
posted 6th Feb
So yesterday Chloe had her 1 yr checkup. And we finally got somewhere. lol
So I had just gotten her a pedi in Sept. Everytime we went the pedi sucked and was old and had no bedside manners, just blew off all my concerns etc.....
Well yesterday we go to see him again, and someone else is there. I was like wtf???
Turns out the other times we went it all happened to be on a day my dd had a replacement in for him. (his dad) who is a cranky old man, obviously a pediatrican as well. Didnt know any different (they share the same name) lol
So on actually meeting my dd's real pediatrican I am happy to say that he looked at all my concerns and is an amazing pedi
So Chloe is 3rd percentile for height at 26 1/2 inches long, 15 percentile in weight at 17lbs. (only gained 2lbs in 3 1/2 months, and only grew half an inch in 3 1/2 months.
But he is very happy overall, since she hasnt dropped of her curve.
I had concerns with her lack of standing, she just started pulling up and crawling on her hands and knees. And I had noticed her right leg didnt seem right, the other pedi dismissed it
Well he wants to see her again in 1 month, if no improvement we are off to physio therapy on her both legs. He said both her legs were week, but the right being more. And she has good left leg reflex's but none on her right leg at all. Upper body strength is awesome.
We went over her constant cough and green runny nose, and since she has eczema he thinks it maybe asthma, although we are not doing puffers right now (last time she was on puffers they made her worse) we are waiting to see as the weather gets better if she gets better. Her lungs were good and clear. But he made a referrel to see a ears nose and throat specialist.
Also since she does not really babble and has no words, we maybe be getting an ealy intervention with a speech therapist, just waiting a little bit to see if she picks up in the next month or two, if not I need to bring her back in and he will set it up. As well as for fine motor skills (lacks pincer grasp) she uses 3 fingers instead of thumb and finger.
But he was impressed that she could roll and throw a ball when asked (knows the difference between throw and roll) that she can regonize the difference in picture books, of cat, puppy, moon, and duck and now bunny and lamb. That she can play patty cake with me, wave bye and hello, blow kisses and point to hair and eyes.
He said he is not so worried about the other stuff as much since she can do those things, and was very impressed when watching her do it all.
And since Chloe as anal atresia (her anus is not in the right spot) she has been having constipation issues, he put her on stoll softners for 1 month, if it does not help we are going to see a proctologist (sp?) Butt Dr, however its spelt.
And loves how much she eats as I brought in her meal chart, and he approved it and said it was perfectly balanced for her age.
So I am so happy that the other Dr is not her actual Dr, and that this one is. Such a load off. lol
Sorry my post is so long. Just wanted to share to all that know how much I have struggled to get all this stuff looked at and taken seriously.
