i had very bad morning sickness til 18 weeks, i had everyone telling me to eat ginger which for me made me worse. i found milk shake was the best and ive told others to try it. they said it really helps them, so maybe try that as its healthy and settles the stomach

I'm glad that helps you! Yeah, it sounds like you're sensitive to drugs in general. If you take it regularly, the effect subsides in about a week I'm told, but taking it once in a while, it's going to knock you on your ass. I've taken it with both pregnancies (first pregnancy I was taking like 80mg/day!), but I'm not sensitive to medication at all, so I didn't really notice.
I've read a lot of the research done on it, and was quite satisfied with its safety.

I feel sorry reading everyone's replies! I never got morning sickness, only slight nausea and that probably only lasted 1-2 weeks when I was very early on. My mum also never had morning sickness with both me and my sister, and I'm having a girl. My sister is 13 weeks and still getting the sickness...

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I was knock-down-drag-out sick from week 9 to week 15 (hyperemesis gravidarum) . I lost almost 40 pounds and was in and out of the hospital. Felt like a new person week 16- a TOTAL change.
This pregnancy I'm now 22 weeks and still nauseated daily. Not nearly as bad as my first pregnancy, but enough to be a drag.
Each pregnancy really is different, that's for sure.
Good luck momma.

I only ever puked with my first pregnancy. It was from 6 weeks all the way until 17-18ish weeks. I lost 25lbs just in the first three months of pregnancy. It was HORRIBLE!!!! Thankfully, I didn't vomit with my other two pregnancies and I was just nauseated instead.

I must be one of the lucky ones, though I didn't feel so lucky a week ago. I'm now 10 weeks and it's starting to ease up a bit. I'm still having bouts of nausea through out the day, but it's not all day long and I've had more energy more days this week, where before I was asleep for about a month..
