Didn't seem at all to me like she was saying it wasn't a big deal. She stated her reason for wanting him to stay, so that they could all go next year. That isn't shrugging it off.

There's no reason that a grown man cannot visit his family in Mexico for ONE MONTH, that he hasn't seen in 2 years.

She said they MAY be able to go next year. So go next year too. No one should go YEARS without seeing their family.

But what happens if they can't go next year? He waited a THIRD year to see his family.

no. this is where I am so confused. my daughter has neutropenia. and she is not allowed to have any live vaccines yet because of the risk of getting the disease since she has no healthy sells to fight off illnesses like a healthy person and my son has severe eczema and is severely allergic to egg and his allergist doesn't recommend him getting the mmr yet since its live and contains some part of egg in it. family and friends have told me I am crazy to take them out of the country without the mmr because if they were to catch the measles it is extremely dangerous. I don't know what to do.

I do, yes, depending on the circumstances. I haven't seen mine in 6 years and haven't gone back because of my children and their father.

I do see what you're saying, but to me, it didn't look like she was shrugging it off and not caring about it. Just saw she was struggling with the idea of it.

im not trying to keep him from his family. he has went longer without visiting them and it had nothing to do with me and this was before we even had children. I don't understand why he just popped up and NEEDS to do it right now.

I wouldn't bring them yet until they have had their vaccine and they are well enough to travel.

If I were you, I would let him. When you and your children can go, make a cool trip out of it, rather than something so last minute, KWIM?

oh well wait. MAYBE this will help you understand why I got pissed.......I said to him....well your going to fly right? but NO he is DRIVING there, which will just make him gone longer....he is not making this any easier....I just don't get it...and he is very rude about it. he is a grown man, he is gonna go if he wants to go, but he is rude to me when we talk about it.

no im not insecure at all. everytime he has ever went I have always been scared about him traveling so far away. now that he is driving there im freaking out more.

I think the important questions are, how old are your kids? Have you taken care of them on your own for extended periods of time before? Are you a high risk pregnancy with twins? Is there family around or friends who are going to be helping you while he is gone?

I would freak the smurf out if I had to take care of two kids under 5 on my own for an entire month while pregnant. Let ALONE sick children   I'm so sorry hun

Why? Do you think he's a bad driver? Do you think someone is going to car jack him? Do you think that he'd be safer if you were in the car with him?

the only person who I have that is near by is my mother but she is ill herself. I take care of her as well. everything is just a mess :/
