2 things in one day :(

Yesterday was a tough day for my family. We recieved bad news about both my grandmothers.

My dads mom is in her late 70's, for the past few years she has been acting off. Almost like she has Alzhimers(sp) or something but she refused to get checked out. Yesterday she had a siezures and rushed to the hospital were they found a brain tumor.   She now doesnt recognize my dad.

My mothers mom, whom im named after and is a big reason why i became a teacher was diagnosed with MS yesterday.

Im kinda in a blah mood over it. I guess im not sure how to even react to it. ive never had a close family suffer from anything like this or even have any deaths in the family. Both my parents are taken it hard and i can tell neither of them are able to support the other through this hard time. Especially getting both news within hours from each other. My dads taken it worse cuz his own mother doesnt know who he was and she didnt want any strangers in the room with her.

I'm so sorry, I know that this is really tough but as a family you can all support eahc other. When my mom was really sick (died of cancer) she got to a point she couldn't recognize me, it was the hardest thing to have to deal with. She was in and out and having to stay strong for the person who is sick if extremely hard. I will keep your family in my thoughts.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this........ I got a phone call this morning that my dad was in a fire and this afternoon that my grandmother was in the hospital, so we've both had pretty smurffy days...... hope it gets better for you! <33

I'm so sorry that you are going through this. It is so hard to see the people we love suffer and age--especially when they are our family. It does add another element to our sorrow to see parents losing their parents. I'll keep your family in my prayers!

Thanks Mamas. I have tommorrow off so im hoping to go see both of them tommorrow. My grandmother (with ms) seems to be doing ok. I guess she was showing signs of it this passed few years but it wasnt enough to diagnose. she keep it a secret until now were she as officially diagnosed with it. Its all new to me so im not sure what to expect now.

with my nana, im hoping to find out more tommorrow. Im trying to prepare my self cuz i know now at this point there probably is anything they can do and it will only get worse.
