I honestly feel like I won't know

When labor starts... if I don't get an obvious sign like my water breaking I will not know. Last time I went in labor I was having contractions all night apparently and the nurse made me feel so stupid for not recognizing it because it wasn't my first child. I cannot remember my first delivery for the life of me... they had me soooo drugged up. And I was induced with my second. I just want to describe what I'm feeling right now and you ladies tell me if I should be concerned. My back is killing me and has been for the past few hours. My uterus hurts like more intense period cramping and sometimes sharp pains as well...and it comes and goes (I haven't timed them because I up and down cleaning and cooking) When I went to the bathroom about half an hour ago there was a tiny bit of blood when I wiped. The biggest issue right now is my back... it won't let up. I know you cannot tell me for sure if this is labor but can you tell me if it sounds like something you went through. I feel so clueless all over again.

wouldn't hurt to call L&D or your doctor and ask about it. What's the worst they can tell you? It's not labor? Sounds like it could possibly be labor.

Ok so... I laid down for an hour to time them and it slowed down to 10 minutes a part... I've been back up for the past twenty minutes and it's like one NONSTOP contraction. I don't even know what to do. And he's on my sciatic nerve... wow this isn't pleasant. Idk... I'll call again I guess.

If you think it's possible labor, it wouldn't hurt to go in. But it being that sporadic, I'm not sure it would be labor. But it wouldn't hurt to go in anyway and get looked at to be safe. Or just keep trying to take it easy and drink some water. Good luck mama!

Thanks. I really hope he comes tonight or most likely in the early hours of tomorrow. I feel like we've been waiting forever and this is the first time I was really sure it was it you know?

yeah I know what you mean. Heck, I was in labor for 24 hours before I even knew I was in labor with DS... and was still in labor at the hospital for another half a day lol. It was crazy. I hope everything goes great for you!   Praying for baby!
