Sure if it was a boy named after his father than I have heard of that.

I've actually thought about doing this for future children.

I have heard of people going by middle names instead of their first. Not weird at all, especially if the first name is extremely common.

I would do it because I go by my middle name. Always have. I find it odd when I hear my first name.

DH's name is David and his middle name is Robert. His mom calls him Robert and sometimes I do when I'm being serious about something or really trying to get his attention.

My Mom's first name is Ceola and her middle name is Kay, everyone calls her Katee. Not sure if that's the same but yeah lol.

I don't see a problem with it.  

My parents fought over my name when I was born and they ended up finally agreeing on Betsy Michelle as long as I was called Michelle. I personally see nothing wrong with it. I would love for my first name to be Michelle and totally get rid of Betsy but only because it makes me feel so old lol

Were naming our son Timothy Landen, Timothy after SO'S daddy & were going to call him Landen

A friend of mine has a 3 year old.. his name is John Rafeal but they call him Ray.. He doesn't know that his name is John.

My father's name was edward scott, but he went by scott & that's what his parents called him because he didn't want to go by edward.

My daughters name is *Jade Tara*

Tara is for my lil sister who passed away... when Jades acting like a
brat, (acting like my sister did)
I call her Tara,
She answers to both names...

My daughters name is Selena Aubri Michelle and we call her Aubri, DH added the 1st name and since she's been born it's always been Aubri.

I do that with my son. everyone calls him by his first name, but me.

The kids dr. Goes by his middle name and his cards say... R. Middle name last name.

And my husbands niece is Savannah Hope last and everyone calls her Hope.

I prefer to go by my middle name.
If this baby would have been a boy he'd have been Robert Theodore but I would have called him Teddy.

My sons name is James Ethan and goes by Ethan. James is a family name and he knows his full name. The only way I agreed to name him James was if we could call him Ethan

see im not as lucky as those who like there middle name... im Leah Dawn i dont look like a dawn and i would never go by it. my name fits me perfect. i dont think i will ever call my son by his middle name bc hes Bryson. i just think everyone is different and has there own option... this might change for me in a few years or it may not. i dont see a problem with it what so ever
