i have one but have never messed with the middle seat belt so i have no idea...y dose the car seat have to go in the middle? y not have one on each side? just wondering

my family is here a lot which means we need to be able to use the seat there.
someone suggest to have one seat on each side and move the infant seat into the middle when family is over here and we need the use of that seat. but even then we would need to know how to lock it so the seat is secure, KWIM?

like now - my mom is here and we only have ONE working car, which is the dodge. my husband broke his car, my dad needs their car to get to work etc and they live 2 hrs away. she is here alone with me to drive me to the hospital when i go into labor.
if i put the infant seat on the other outer side seat nobody can use the middle seat because there isnt enough room. hope that makes sense

yea i mean if its real easy for me to do maybe its just urs but if i have a hard time it could me the car but i have never had any issues at all with ours i love it lol

what year is yours?
ours is a 2009 journey...we have gotten mail from lawyers because apparently there is a lot of things wrong with ours.
we had to replace our battery 4 times now and the car isnt even 5 years old. we are on the third set of new tires, our CD and DVD player just decided to stop working, speakers sound blown, navigation likes to just stop working in the middle of driving places...and like i said, the car isnt even 5 years old yet. we only used it for 3 years for DH to get to work and back home and do the grocery shopping. for the past year we have only used it for doctors appointments and grocery shopping. thats it. yet we had to replace the battery AGAIN as well as the tires...we keep up with the maintenance and all yet everything seems to break or stop working...and the german dodge dealership doesnt cover any of our american warranties so we have to wait to get most stuff fixed when we get back.
ive been thinking about trading it in, DH wants to sue dodge for selling us a "lemon" lol

use a locking clip. car seat should have came with one.

ok now i feel like an idiot.
when we used that thing while installing the seat i gave it to my husband and thought he knew what he was doing...of course it didnt work right...
i just watched a video on how to use the locking clip and he did it completely wrong.
explanation found!
