Finally got to hold him :)

I got to hold DS2 for the first time since he was 3 hours old today   He's 5 days old now.




Was one of the best hours of my life <3

Thanks, guys   I had been hoping it would be this weekend but they kind of acted like that wasn't going to happen. He got off the ventilator this morning and now he has to be weaned off the little oxygen tube on his face and once he's weaned off that they have to introduce feeding by mouth and then he has to take all his feedings exclusively by mouth for 48 hours before he can come home. Sounds like an awful lot to accomplish   Maybe mid next week.

So handsome! Hope he does well on room air and eats
